Emoticam was a program running (consensually) in the background of various volunteers' computers from 2013 - 2018.
Anytime a user typed something to imply they were emoting in real life, it took a photo of their face and uploaded it here.

Note: underexposed (dark) images are the result of an issue with some Macs released after the project started. Eventually I hope to add more filters and browsing options for navigating the archive.
